Giantkillings dismissed in our 22/1 FA Cup accumulator

Places in the second round of the FA Cup remain up for grabs and the likes of Braintree and Cambridge City will remain optimistic that they can cause a famous giantkilling.

However, we are not particularly confident of their chances and have both to lose to league opposition as part of a potentially profitable 22/1 four-team accumulator.

Tranmere to beat Braintree @ 8/13

Being top of League One at present, Tranmere are technically the best team currently in the FA Cup, so this seems terrific value against opposition sitting just above the relegation zone in the Blue Square Premier.

A waterlogged pitch prevented this game from initially going ahead and at that time Tranmere were caught up in a rare winless streak.

However, normal business has since been resumed with back-to-back triumphs and they should be too strong for the Essex non-league outfit.

Bradford to beat Northampton @ 5/6

Only Cheltenham and Rotherham have taken more points at home in League Two this season than Bradford and no team in the division has conceded fewer than their five goals on their own patch.

Take into account that Bradford have already won at Northampton in the league, they should have a far easier time of it when facing the same opposition at home.

They had just come off the back of a monumental penalty shoot-out win over Premier League Wigan when initially facing Northampton in the FA Cup and Bradford should be in far better mental and physical shape here.

MK Dons (-2) to beat Cambridge City @ 11/10

The MK Dons were totally dominant in the initial meeting between these two but had to settle for a 0-0 away draw despite having almost 40 shots in the 90 minutes.

It is hard to believe that they will be this wasteful again against a team positioned almost 100 places lower down the football pyramid and they should be able to win by at least three goals to move into a second-round tie with AFC Wimbledon.

Morecambe to beat Rochdale @ 13/5

This is by far the riskiest of our four picks, but Morecambe had by far the better of it when this pair met at Spotland earlier this season in League Two, claiming a deserved success.

Rochdale have only won two from eight at home this season too, both against teams currently situated below Morecambe in the league standings.

Morecambe have also been solid on their travels and may have been slightly overpriced here.
