McIlroy three-ball of interest as bet in play options available for Masters

Published:

Betting in play opens up a window of new possibilities at the Masters and provides punters with even greater opportunity to make profit.

Focusing on specific three-ball matches taking place, punters are offered a raft of betting opportunities relating to particular holes or the complete round of a player.

One such three-ball that is sure to be given the bet in play treatment is that involving Rory McIlroy, Keegan Bradley and Fredrik Jacobson.

Among the markets that will then be available are which of the trio will register the most birdies, which will simply have shot the lowest score over the 18 holes or which will win the next hole they tee off at.

This could be especially lucrative if for example there is a par-five up next and one of the players is driving the ball better and further than his playing partners.

There are also options relating solely to a player on his own.

Taking McIlroy for explanation purposes, punters can take advantage of a birdie or bogey line for the Northern Irishman, what exactly his round score will be or a round line, which will pick a score of say a level-par 70 and then offer the chance to back over or under this mark.

Alternatively, punters may fancy a little three-ball accumulator to include in their Masters betting portfolio.

Matteo Manassero is extremely hard to oppose against 14-year-old Chinese sensation Tian-Lan Guan and 61-year-old Ben Crenshaw, but his price of 1/4 is a reflection of his chances in this trio.

Sweden’s Henrik Stenson is another to side with at 10/11 in his three-ball alongside former major winners Bernhard Langer and Lucas Glover, with Hunter Mahan a tempting 1/1 to out-score Hiroyuki Fujita and Francesco Molinari.

A Manassero, Stenson and Mahan treble pays out at 4/1.
