PSG v Barcelona: French side poised to keep tie alive with a draw

Barcelona head into their Champions League clash with PSG as the overwhelming favourites – but don’t let those odds fool you into thinking it’ll be a walk over.

The Spanish league leaders are currently available at 3/4 to take a lead into the second leg but, based on their recent away form in Europe, that looks a little short.

They have won just one of their previous six away games in the Champions League and were on the receiving end of a convincing 2-0 defeat at the hands of AC Milan in the first leg of the last round.

In fact, Barcelona’s away form in all competitions has been poor for the past few months, with the Catalan side recording just one victory – a 2-1 win at Granada – in their last away six matches.

Backing PSG, who haven’t lost at home this calendar year, to come away with a draw looks a decent bet at 13/5, while a win for the French is available at 19/5.

Meanwhile, as well as failing to win, Barcelona have also been failing to keep clean sheets on their travels.

They have shipped at least one goal in each of their last ten away matches in all competitions and two in each of their last three.

Backing both teams to score looks worth a punt at a pretty tidy 7/10, while Lionel Messi is available at 8/13 to score at any time which, considering he’s scored in each of his last 19 La Liga games, is still worth consideration.
