Lions series odds doubled if they win all 10 tour matches

Looking back through time, the British and Irish Lions have clearly had far greater success facing Australia over the likes of South Africa and New Zealand and this bodes well for those backing the Lions to secure a Test series victory.

It is 8/11 that the Lions come out on top over the three games with Australia and prior to their last visit in 2001 when losing 2-1, the Lions had beaten Australia in four series in succession dating back to 1950, three of which without losing.

This last fact is great news for Lions fans backing a series victory online or via mobile, as they will benefit from double the 8/11 odds if the Lions win all 10 of their tour matches.

The maximum stake for the promotion is £50 and bets obviously have to be placed before the first match of the tour against the Barbarians on June 1st. Full terms and conditions can be found here.

Much will also hinge in the final Australian squad that is selected by coach Robbie Deans, with the major omission in the preliminary 25-man party being fly-half Quade Cooper, who has fallen out with the coach after criticising the environment in the camp.

Other omissions were Kurtley Beale, injured flanker George Smith, hooker Tatafu Polota-Nau and inside centre Pat McCabe, but with Deans set to add another six names to his final squad, there are still possibilities that this quartet will face the Lions.

Other prices available at this stage that may look intriguing are the 7/2 for the Lions to wallop the Wallabies 3-0 and the 8/1 that they do triumph in all 10 tour matches.

Alternatively, it is 1,000/1 that the Lions return home without a single success.
