Champions League Group C: PSG to score in favoured time slot
Published:Inspired by a rampaging Zlatan Ibrahimovic, PSG have smashed in 12 goals in their opening three Champions League matches and arriving in Paris for more punishment are Belgian makeweights Anderlecht, while Benfica travel to Olympiacos.
PSG’s anaconda-like grip on Group C has been obtained by an absolute glut of goals, a dozen in total, with five coming against Anderlecht on matchday three, while the French side have conceded only once.
So, as the Belgians make the ominous trip to Paris for the return leg it’s no surprise to see relatively short odds of 11/10 on PSG to score 2/3 goals, while 4+ goals at 29/20 holds more appeal.

In fact, three of their five goals in the competition thus far have arrived between these minute marks, including the opener in their rain-soaked, almost farcical encounter at Benfica last time out.
Both sides bring fine domestic form to the contest, though with home advantage and an absolute goal-machine in their ranks, backing Olympiacos at 13/10 to put daylight between themselves and Benfica seems the sensible option.
In the form of Greek international striker Mitroglou, Olympiacos have a striker whose Champions League hat-trick against Anderlecht was one of four separate trebles for his club this season – while he has notched four-in-four ahead of this one.
The 5/1 on offer for Mitroglou to break the deadlock should certainly be taken.
