Aguero and Adebayor go head-to-head in Price Boost clash!

Tottenham entertain Manchester City in a midweek, Premier League revenge mission live on the telebox, and all you’ve got to decide is who to back to score first…

Spurs fans need no reminding of what happened at the Etihad in the reverse top-flight fixture, but that was then and this is now, as Tim Sherwood’s charges look to make it five straight league wins under their freshman boss.

Emmaunel Adebayor to score first v Man City @ 8/1 – was 7/1

The Togolese striker has been welcomed back to the Tottenham fold with open arms by Sherwood and with great effect as well.

Adebayor has rewarded his manager’s faith with three goals in as many Premier League starts of late and might well have registered a hat-trick on Spurs’ last league outing at Swansea, had team-mate Mousa Dembele rolled him in.

Still, 10 days should have been sufficient time for Adebayor to calm down and, considering he scored the opener both that day and at Old Trafford previously, he makes a great shout to do it again at White Hart Lane.

Of course, there is the added incentive of scoring against one of his former clubs; something the big man clearly enjoys.

Sergio Aguero to score first v Tottenham @ 5/1 – was 9/2

On the City side of the coin, there is no greater threat than Aguero.

The Argentine continues to push the boundaries of goal-scoring excellence in a sky blue shirt and has made a seamless return to the set-up after injury – notching in all four games he’s played, including an FA Cup hat-trick last time out against Watford.

There appears no way of quelling Aguero’s insatiable thirst for a goal, as the number he has plundered across all comps (25), despite missing out a month through injury, now outweighs his total number of 24 City appearances this term.
