Kroos best off bolting to Man United for new challenge

You and I might use Facebook to post a picture of a night out with friends, but Bayern Munich star Toni Kroos has taken to the social media site to alert clubs across the continent to the possibility of signing him in the summer.

Already heavily linked with a potential transfer to Old Trafford in the recently expired January transfer window, the coast has become even clearer now Kroos has publicly announced that he can’t agree a new deal at Bayern Munich.

The news will be 10 bars of the sweetest melody to the lobes of David Moyes as he plans to rebuild a title challenging side for next season, rather than one scrapping it out for fourth, a battle he’s 7/2 with Ladbrokes to win.

Although Kroos stated he was still happy at the German champions for now, the fact his current contract runs out in 2015 means it may transpire to be in both the player and the club’s interest to move at the next opportunity.

At 24, Kroos has amassed 41 Germany caps already, while forging himself a reputation as one of the most complete midfielders on the continent – able to operate in a central midfield partnership or as a number 10.

Therefore, when weighing up the list of potential Premier League heavyweights he could join, Man United could not be more tailor-made to accommodate his needs.

What United have failed to do for an unfathomable amount of time is replace Paul Scholes as first class tempo-caller and Kroos could slot right in alongside a Michael Carrick and still rack up 5-10 goals per season.

Although United have suffered in the early days of the David Moyes transition, where they find themselves 15 points off the Premier League pace, the signing of Juan Mata hints at far greater things to come.
