Hazard in Chelsea trio tipped to score against Galatasaray

Published:

Chelsea face a stern test of their Champions League credentials at Stamford Bridge and though a 0-0 draw will be enough to see them past Galatasaray, goals look likely in London.

The Blues are backed at 2/5 for victory with Ladbrokes with the draw available at 7/2 and 7/1 offered on a win for the Turkish giants.

However with Jose Mourinho’s team proving particularly strong at home, dropping points just twice in the Premier League this term and scoring in all but one of the games played under the Special One at the Bridge, they look good for goals. Here are three men who could make the difference.

Eden Hazard to score anytime @ 6/4

If the Chelsea strikers have another of those nights, then the onus may fall on Eden Hazard to find a goal or two against a Gala team that has failed to keep a clean sheet in three of their last four.

The Belgian led the line for previous club Lille in Ligue 1 and has been in good goalscoring form at Stamford Bridge of late, notching up four in their last three home fixtures in the Premier League.

Fernando Torres to score anytime @ 11/10

The Spaniard may not be a guaranteed starter but with Samuel Eto’o struggling and Demba Ba taking a backseat at Stamford Bridge, Torres could be the one to trust for a goal, even if it does come from the bench.

The 29-year-old won’t have given up on a spot in Spain’s World Cup squad yet and can draw confidence from a goal last time out against the Turks. Torres has been relatively prolific in European competition for the Blues, scoring 16 goals in 31 appearances over the past three seasons.

Branislav Ivanovic to score anytime @ 7/1

The Serbian has made a habit of scoring important goals for Chelsea over the years, with his sensational winner against Manchester City earlier in the season being a case in point.

He’s been the man for the big occasion in Europe too, scoring the winner in final of the Europa League last term and grabbing a goal against Napoli during their memorable 4-1 win in 2013 – a victory that put the Londoners on the road to glory in the Champions League that year.
