AFC Wimbledon to beat Bristol Rovers @ 11/8

The Dons were a force to be reckoned with at Kingsmeadow last season and despite faring worse at the ground this term, AFC are eight points clear of relegation and after a thrilling 4-3 win over Cheltenham last time out at home, will fancy their chances here.

Bristol Rovers are on a run of three straight defeats on the road and are without a win in eight away games going into this one. That run could well continue against a Wimbledon team that beat them 3-1 at home last season.

Accrington Stanley to beat Northampton @ 5/4

James Beattie continues to work miracles at Accrington with Stanley now looking near-certainties to stay in the division following a priceless 1-0 win away at Exeter last time out that extended the team’s unbeaten run to four games going into this clash.

Northampton, meanwhile, are three points from safety following a run of five games without a win and after a 3-0 hammering at home to Bury, morale may be low. With Accrington winning two of their last three home meetings with the Cobblers, Stanley should have enough here.

Bury to beat Exeter @ 11/10

Bury maintained their fine form at home with a valuable 2-1 win over Bristol Rovers in midweek and we expect the good times to continue at Gigg Lane when an Exeter team fresh from defeat to lowly Accrington.

The Shakers are aiming for a third straight victory in the division and will be confident of success here, having beaten the Grecians in each of their previous three trips to the Greater Manchester side.

Chesterfield to beat Newport @ 4/6

After suffering heartbreak in the final of the Football League Trophy, Chesterfield will look to refocus their efforts on automatic promotion and a home match against an inconsistent Newport could be just the ticket.

The Welsh club have picked up just one win from their last 11 in the league and have lost three of the last four games they have played on the road going into this one. With the Spireites unbeaten in 14 at home, winning four of their last five, Chesterfield should have enough to claim a win.

Scunthorpe to beat Torquay @ 21/20

Scunny boss Russ Wilcox set a new record last weekend of 24 matches unbeaten at the helm of the club and that run looks likely to continue on the road to bottom of the table Torquay.

The hosts head into the game off the back of three straight defeats in League Two and having been comprehensively beaten 3-1 by Scunthorpe back at the start of the season anything other than a victory of the Iron looks unlikely.
