US Masters: KJ has the class to see off Rest of the World

For those who enjoy a bet there are few sporting occasions that provide as wide an array of markets as the Masters and one of those just off the fairway that could provide some real value is the Top Rest of the World Player. Below are three names that have all shown a liking for Augusta National and have strong claims of producing their best again this week.

KJ Choi – 22/1

At 22/1 KJ Choi looks like excellent value in this market with the South Korean posting several encouraging results this season.

The 43-year-old hasn’t won an event since May 2011 but he wouldn’t have to in order to land the money here and with the  likes of defending champion and Major nearly-man Jason Day underpriced at the head of affairs the popular Texas-resident represents some serious value.

Four top-20 finishes from 10 events this year represents more consistent form than most of his rivals and a runner-up finish at the Farmers Insurance Open when coming with a late Sunday rattle shows he can still cut it when the big bucks are being handed out.

KJ came third at Augusta in 2004 and it would be desperately unlucky for backers if a reproduction of that effort wasn’t enough to take the spoils.

Louis Oosthuizen – 16/1

Runaway 2010 Open Champion Louis Oosthuizen looks to be a huge prize to finish best of the ROW despite a disappointing season so far.

The South African was close to adding the Green Jacket to his wardrobe two years ago when only finding an inspired Bubba Watson too good in a play-off and a price of 16/1 doesn’t fairly reflect his chances.

The quote can be explained by a campaign that has seen the 31-year-old miss the cut in half of his six events, however, he has come to life at the Majors in recent years and requires serious consideration.

Trevor Immelman – 25/1

Finally, 2008 champion Trevor Immelman deserves a mention despite several years out of the limelight.

The 34-year-old clearly comes into his own after walking up Magnolia Lane, having made the cut on his last seven visits to Georgia.

Further encouragement comes in the form of the testing conditions that could potentially play a part over the four days. The South African secured the Green Jacket in testing weather six years ago and three top-21 finishes this campaign shows he isn’t completely out of touch.
