Oxford have quite comfortably claimed the tag of ‘bottle jobs of the season’ having claimed just two victories in their last 14 outings to plummet out of the promotion reckoning.
And they’re unlikely to find much respite at Sixfields with Northampton chasing a fourth win in six matches to confirm their place among the 92.
The visit of Gary Waddock’s side shouldn’t pose too much of a problem. Losing six of their last seven games on the road, Oxford have failed to score a single goal in those defeats.
