League Two acca: More early season joy predicted for Wycombe

Published:

It proved to be a disappointing weekend for the Ladbrokes News League Two acca with Luton letting the side down against AFC Wimbledon at Kenilworth Road.

But with a full midweek card of fixtures in England’s fourth tier it’s time to get back on the horse with another fourfold accumulator available at odds of 14/1 with Ladbrokes.

Early season surprise package Wycombe are backed to beat Tranmere, while Southend, Burton and Shrewsbury are all in the mix to continue their run of fine form.

Read on to find out why backing all four selections could mean a profitable Tuesday night for our followers.

Wycombe to beat Tranmere @ 7/5

What a difference a season makes! Wycombe were no-hopers last season but now they find themselves at the other end of the table after two wins from two matches this term.

And things can get even better for the high-flying Chairboys at Adams Park when they take on a Tranmere side who are without a win in their last seven matches.

Southend to beat AFC Wimbledon @ 21/20

AFC Wimbledon are one of the real Jekyll and Hyde teams of League Two. In recent seasons we have seen them win away at Southend only to lose to Accrington Stanley the following week.

This season has seen them make a positive start to the campaign with an opening day draw against Shrewsbury and a win at the weekend away at Luton.

But the trip to Roots Hall represents a massive test against a Southend side who are two from two after victories against Accrington and Stevenage respectively.

Phil Brown’s Shrimpers side can extend their perfect record with another solid performance.

Burton to beat Exeter @ 8/11

We backed Burton for a home victory against Dagenham and for a long time it looked as if our confidence in Gary Rowett’s side had been misplaced.

But two late Billy Kee goals turned things around at the Pirelli Stadium and with confidence still intact the Brewers are back in accumulator action once again.

This time around we are hoping Rowett’s men can make short work of an Exeter side who were thrashed 3-0 by neighbours Plymouth last time out.

Shrewsbury to beat Accrington @ 8/11

The last leg of our midweek League Two fourfold comes from a match between two sides at differing ends of the form table.

Shrewsbury have made an unbeaten start in competitive football this season whereas Accrington have been on the end of three straight defeats.

We cannot see anything but this one going to form at New Meadow.
