Countdown Boost: Arsenal and Chelsea both to win doubled!

| 16.10.2014

From 12.15 on Saturday until the first goal of Manchester City’s home clash with Spurs, you can back Arsenal and Chelsea to beat Hull and Crystal Palace respectively at 2/1, instead of the usual 10/11.

This tantalising offer is available not just online, but in all of Ladbrokes’ betting offices UK-wide, at least one of which you’re as likely as not to come across between now and kick-off at the Etihad.

Arsene Wenger’s Gunners may not be firing on all cylinders yet this term, sitting eighth in the Premier League at present as opposed to their customary fourth, but Steve Bruce’s boys have a great weight of history to overcome if they are to take anything away from the Emirates.

Arsenal have won seven of nine home games against Hull over the last 100 years, losing once in a century, while Wenger’s men stuffed the Tigers by a combined scoreline of 5-0 in the top-flight last season, before besting them after extra-time in the FA Cup final.

The north Londoners haven’t lost at home in the Premier League since the opening match of the 2013/14 campaign, whereas Hull have managed just one away victory in six road games all told this term.

As for runaway league leaders Chelsea, only City have managed to avoid defeat this season when Jose Mourinho’s mob came to town, with the Special One’s crack outfit grabbing three wins from four 2014/15 fixtures on the road, half of which came by at least two goals.

Hull put the blockers on Neil Warnock’s unbeaten start as Palace manager with a 2-0 triumph at the KC Stadium prior to the international break, although the Eagles were showing signs of waning in their 3-2 extra-time loss to Newcastle in the Capital One Cup last time out at home.

Furthermore, Palace have already been beaten at Selhurst Park by West Ham this term, a result that doesn’t bode well going into their next London derby against the form team in Europe.
