Kamara: Chelsea won’t park the bus against Manchester United
David Moyes’ first big test of his ill-fated Manchester United tenure was the visit of Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea side and one season on Louis van Gaal finds himself facing the same situation.
Last term’s 0-0 stalemate at Old Trafford was hardly the Monday Night Football blockbuster we’d all anticipated but Ladbrokes ambassador Chris Kamara has told Ladbrokes News that this season’s Super Sunday encounter is likely to be very different.
Kamara said: “This won’t be like last season’s 0-0 bore draw in the corresponding fixture.
This is a different Chelsea team. Jose Mourinho has now got faith in his attacking assets and the balance in his squad. They won’t go to Old Trafford and park the bus, they will go out there and attack in the hope of landing another blow in the title race”
Chelsea team packed full of goals
The Blues have certainly come racing out of the blocks this term, scoring 33 times in their opening 12 games in all competitions.
And while Chelsea are likely to be without both Diego Costa and Loic Remy for their trip to Salford they can still rely upon a vast pool of attacking talent.
Germany international Andre Schurrle could start as the lone striker with 36-year-old frontman Didier Drogba admitting in midweek that he is still short of match fitness.
Schurrle has already scored twice this season, including a crucial strike in his side’s 1-1 draw at Manchester City earlier in the campaign. The 23-year-old is 8/1 to open the scoring against the Red Devils.
And with midfield partners Eden Hazard, Cesc Fabregas, Oscar and Willian contributing eight goals between them in the Premier League the Blues can still make the trip north feeling pretty confident.
