Arsenal v Anderlecht: Gunners set to run riot at the Emirates

Published:

The doom and gloom of a few weeks ago appears to be lifting at the Emirates Stadium with Arsenal now firmly locked in the Premier League’s top four and close to sealing their place in the knockout phase of the Champions League.

To do that though nothing but a win against Anderlecht will do and Arsene Wenger’s men are the overwhelming 1/3 favourties with Ladbrokes to do just that.

The Belgians, who ran the Gunners very close at the Stade Constant Vanden Stock, are 8/1 to cause an upset, while the draw is 5/1 with the bookmaker.

But here are three alternative bets aimed at providing you with even more value – and hopefully a win!

Arsenal -2 @ 2/1

It’s taken a while but Arsenal are finally clicking into gear going forward and they can continue to build their confidence in front of goal against an Anderlecht side who have not tasted victory in any of their last 11 European matches.

Arsenal are also very strong at home and have tasted just one defeat at the Emirates in all competitions this season.

The Gunners did struggle against the Belgian side two weeks ago in Brussels but they will not play as badly as they did that night, despite victory, at the Emirates Stadium.

So back Sanchez and co to run riot and move a step closer to sealing their place in the knockout stages.

Alexis Sanchez to score first @ 7/2

The Chilean’s brace against Burnley made it four goals from his last two games and 10 strikes in his last 12 appearances for the Gunners.

The former Barca star has hit the ground running in England and his goals have kept Arsenal going despite some laboured performances during the opening weeks of the season.

The 25-year-old is in fine form and he can continue that against a side who have not won on the road in their last eight Champions League ties.

Arsenal to win to nil @ 23/20

After their early season wobbles, the Gunners look to be returning to something like the solidity at the back they showed last season.

Clean sheets away at Sunderland and at home to Burnley last time out have filled Ladbrokes News with plenty of confidence ahead of Anderlecht’s visit to north London and we are backing Wenger’s men to pick up their fourth straight win and third successive clean sheet.
