League Two Accumulator: Burton will burst Luton’s bubble

Published:

It’s an old cliché but what a difference a new manager can have. That’s certainly the case at Burton, with incoming boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink enjoying a debut League Two success against Wycombe on Monday.

His new side are the standout selection for this weekend’s foray into the fourth division, with Bury and Plymouth our other picks in a treble that pays £104.28 from a £10 stake.

Burton to beat Luton @ 13/10

Burton were comfortable 3-1 winners at Wycombe in front of the Sky TV cameras on Monday night and now the Staffordshire outfit can start to build momentum in front of their own fans too.

We’re making a bold move in opposing Luton, who are unbeaten in their previous 11 games in League Two, winning nine of those contests.

But before you scoff bear in mind the fact that the Brewers won each of their first five home games at home this season before the uncertainty of losing Gary Rowett rocked the boat.

And with ex-Chelsea star Hasselbaink now charged with steadying the ship they can kick on at the Pirelli Stadium.

Bury to beat Newport @ 10/11

Bury have wobbled on the road this season but at home the Shakers are imperious, winning each of their previous seven matches at Gigg Lane.

That’ll give David Flitcroft’s side plenty of confidence heading into this encounter with a Newport side who’ve won just two of their eight games away from Rodney Parade.

Plymouth to beat Mansfield @ 11/8

On current form Mansfield could well be in for a long hard winter with the Stags winless in nine and struggling to score goals.

By stark contrast, John Sheridan’s Plymouth continue to impress having won five of their last seven matches in the league.

Argyle have been less consistent on their travels but against their lowly opponents that trend could start to turn around at Field Mill.
