Another Sheff Utd goal drought heads our midweek FA Cup acca

| 18.11.2014

Fear not football fans, for there are ample under-the-radar betting opportunities this week as FA Cup first-round replays come to the fore.

We’ve crunched the numbers and cobbled together a tidy acca which will pay out at over 11/1, all going well.

Sheffield United v Crewe – Under 2.5 goals @ 20/21

It should be noted by all punters approaching this fixture that seven of the hosts’ last eight fixtures have seen two strikes or fewer registered, including against their next opponents at Gresty Road nine days ago.

If that stat’s not convincing enough, each of Crewe’s last six games have shuffled under this mark, making unders the bet to be on at Bramall Lane.

Accrington Stanley + 1 to beat Notts County @ 4/7

After holding the Magpies to a goalless draw at Meadow Lane, John Coleman’s men look a decent bet to at least achieve the same again back at Crown Ground.

Accrington have won five of their last six at home, but Notts County are unbeaten on the road since mid-August, so the hosts on the handicap looks the way to play.

Shrewsbury to beat Walsall @ 6/5

Micky Mellon’s men may reside in the division below the travelling Saddlers, but Chelsea are the only team Shrewsbury haven’t been able to best at New Meadow in their last six home fixtures.

Even the Premier League leaders needed an 81st minute winner after Andy Mangan cancelled out Didier Drogba’s first-half goal, so a Walsall side that has lost two of their last three away should struggle.

AFC Wimbledon v York – Both teams to score @ 4/5

The hosts have conceded in four of their last five games, with both teams scoring in three of those fixtures, including in the 1-1 draw at York.

Meanwhile, the Minstermen have let in at least one in six of their past seven games, so this pair of leaky defences are both tipped to be breached in south-west London.
