Stand back Spurs fans! There’s a Harry Kane boost coming through

Published:

No player across the continent has scored more Europa League goals than Spurs’ Harry Kane in 2014/15, and the north London boy goes from 3/1 to an industry-best 4/1 for the opener against Partizan with Ladbrokes.

Kane is on fire at the moment, with nine goals in his last ten appearances for the Lilywhites all told, but Europe is where the England Under-21 regular really excels.

Five of those strikes have come in this competition, a tally that has only been matched by three other players, and Kane has broken the deadlock in two of the past three Spurs Europa League outings, including at home to Asteras last month before going onto complete a hat-trick.

After struggling to initially find his feet at the highest level, with just three goals in his first 14 Premier League appearances, the 21-year-old has also started firing home important strikes in the top flight too.

Aston Villa and Hull have both felt the wrath of Kane since the start of November having gone ahead, with the former condemned to defeat thanks to a deflected 90th-minute free kick, and the latter finding themselves pegged back prior to Christian Eriksen’s winner at the KC Stadium.

This bet gets even better when you consider the paucity of goalscoring options likely to be deemed worthy of Europa League action by Tottenham chief Mauricio Pochettino.

Nacer Chadli and Eriksen, Spurs’ second and third-top scorers in 2014/15 behind Kane, have only started once between them in this season’s edition of the tournament, and Pochettino’s entire squad have struck one less Europa League goal than the Young Lion so far in the campaign.

You won’t get a better price out there about a third Kane opener of the season at White Hart Lane than Ladbrokes’ 4/1. Get on.
