Hitman Treble: Rooney, Sanchez and Drogba are FA Cup headliners

| 02.01.2015

We all love the magic of the FA Cup (see if you can count how many times we use that phrase this weekend) and the iconic third round promises to throw up more golden moments.

But those Premier League sides facing lower ranked opposition are unlikely to be dewy-eyed about the tests that await them and neither should you.

Rather than show any mercy for the would-be giant killers, focus your attention on Ladbrokes’ latest Hitman Treble, featuring a trio of strikers who are hungry for goals, not fairytales.

Wayne Rooney, Alexis Sanchez and Didier Drogba all to score in their respective fixtures has been boosted from 4/1 to a far juicier 11/2 with the bookmaker and there are plenty of reasons to get involved.*

Rooney’s Manchester United side travel to face League One strugglers Yeovil Town in a game where the Red Devils will be desperate to avoid a repeat of their Capital One Cup embarrassment at MK Dons.

And with the United captain netting 17 goals in 23 starts in the FA Cup it’s easy to see why you’d want to back him to add to that tally.

Arsenal have arguably been handed the trickiest assignment of the three teams mentioned but in Alexis Sanchez the Gunners know they’ve got a goalscorer capable of doing the damage against fellow Premier League side Hull.

The Chilean opened the scoring in a 2-2 draw with the Tigers earlier in the season and can be trusted to repeat the trick at the Emirates.

And finally, one man who’s got plenty of cup pedigree is Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba.

The Ivorian has netted 12 goals in 27 matches in the competition, including four strikes in four different finals.

He’ll be eager to add to his tally of six goals already this season and a third round tie against Championship Watford could well be the perfect opportunity to do so.
