Three Juventus players Arsenal fans should be watching

Nine points clear of nearest challenger AS Roma and through to the knockout phase of the Champions League once again, things could be going a lot worse for Juventus.

But with a tricky tie against an albeit out-of-sorts Borussia Dortmund coming up, a reunion between the two Champions League finalists of 1997 may offer a few more reasons for Arsenal fans to tune in.

With the action at the Juventus Stadium likely to feature three Arsenal targets in action it could be time for you to brush up on your Italian.

Stephan Lichtsteiner

The Switzerland international had been linked with a move to Arsenal prior to signing a new contract last month but that may not be the end of the story when it comes to the right-back’s future.

A savvy operator both for his national team and during stints in Serie A with Juve and previous club Lazio, Lichtsteiner boasts bags of experience and has been known to contribute going forwards too with some mazy runs, assists and even a few goals to his name too.

Kingsley Coman

Once on the books at Paris Saint-Germain, Coman swapped France for Italy after struggling for game-time with the Ligue 1 champions, turning down an offer from Arsenal in the process.

An attacking midfielder by trade, the 18-year-old has so far made nine appearances for the Bianconeri in the Italian top-flight this term and remains an in-demand prospect. A lack of more pitch time at the Juventus Stadium could yet prompt a move to the Premier League.

Fernando Llorente

The 29-year-old target man has been in and out of the team under Massimiliano Allegri and has been linked with moves to the likes of Arsenal and north London rivals Tottenham of late.

Offering something a little more direct in the final third, Llorente is not your everyday big man centre-forward with a superb first touch another important part of his game. Should he remain merely a ‘Plan B’ for Juve then a transfer away from the club, and perhaps even Italy, looks likely.
