His performance in Real Madrid’s 2-1 Champions League defeat to Juventus was ridiculed on social media, and now it seems Gareth Bale’s stay at the Spanish capital could be coming to an end.
The Welshman was anonymous at Juventus Stadium, and has faced criticism from the Galactico fanbase this season.
Interest from the Premier League has been vast according to reports, so could Bale be on his way back to these shores in the summer?

With 28 goals in 56 La Liga appearances and 39 in all competitions, it’s probably harsh to describe Bale as a flop. It’s perfectly feasible that his recent barren spell will end in time, and it’s simply a dip in form.
Former Madrid president Ramon Calderon has said that it’s unlikely the club will allow the Welshman to leave, so it may well be the case that his stay isn’t ending any time soon.
Their interest has been well documented in the press lately, and with the flashes United have shown this season, the former Spurs man could be the catalyst for a Premier League title challenge.
Although after Red Devil legends Roy Keane and Paul Scholes took apart his performance on Tuesday, he has a couple of club stalwarts to win round yet.
The Premier League champions would provide a big draw for Bale, and with the plethora of superstars already at Stamford Bridge, an addition of the Madrid man would make them near unstoppable.
An attacking three of Bale, Hazard and Costa will certainly give the English defences even more to think about.
The Citizens are crying out for a spark from somewhere to propel them back to serious title contenders.
Sergio Aguero continues to be one of the best in the business, but with Manuel Pellegrini’s men still not sure of second place, it’s obvious they need attacking reinforcements in the summer.
With the likes of Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery probably on the downgrade these days, it could be that the Bavarian outfit will be looking for some younger blood in their attacking ranks at the end of the season.
A link up with Pep Guardiola could see Bale flourish again and lead Munich to another German title in 2015-16.
