Poll Result: West Ham can expect top 10 finish under Bilic

West ham have appointed the right man to get the club moving in an upward direction.

That is according to the latest Ladbrokes News poll, which found that more than half of those polled feel the Irons will enjoy a Top 10 finish or better under Slaven Bilic.

After the former Hammers favourite was unveiled as Sam Allardyce’s replacement we asked you to vote on what the Upton Park faithful can expect and with 48 per cent of the votes a “steady top half finish” was the clear winner.

It wasn’t all glowing positivity for the former Besiktas, Lokomotiv Moscow and Croatia boss, however, with 32 per cent – our second largest proportion – expecting the same “mid-table obscurity” that Big Sam delivered.

The remaining voters were split, with one faction dreaming of a top of the table tilt and others fearing the worst.

One in 10 of our voters feel that Bilic will reinvigorate the squad and motivate them to European qualification – not the fair play kind earned by the current crop but by finishing in the top seven that is.

However, the same number of people felt that Bilic will struggle to get to grips with life in the English top flight and will spend his first year in the dugout battling against the drop down the Championship.

With West Ham due to take residence in the Olympic Stadium at the start of the 2016-17 campaign Bilic will be hoping that the majority of our voters are correct else his Boleyn Ground tenure could prove to be short lived.

All Odds and Markets are correct as of the date of publishing.
