Tight poll rules that Neymar is NOT worth £140m

Published:

It’s a close call. But according to Ladbrokes News voters Barcelona forward Neymar is NOT worth the reported £140m that Manchester United are prepared to pay the Catalans for his services.

Yes, 53 per cent of you saw sense and ruled that the eye-watering price quoted by various sections of the media was just too much to comprehend.

Still, football’s latest barmy rumour certainly kept us entertained anyway.

It’s no secret that the Red Devils are looking to beef up their front line with rumoured target Pedro slipping through the net and away to Premier League rivals Chelsea last week.

But with Wayne Rooney yet to find his shooting boots this term and a lack of other top class options up top, the Old Trafford club have been shoved into a corner and seemingly forced to start waving around wads of cash.

And according to Brazilian newspaper Globo, that means Neymar is very much on their radar.

Sure, you can see the attraction.

The Barca star has netted his fair share of goals at the Nou Camp – 54 in 92 games – and would add star quality to what at the moment is a misfiring attack.

Does that mean he’s worth £140m? 47 per cent of you think so.

Really?
