Generous John gets Money Back on Ladbrokes’ Acca Saturday

Published:

For many of us like-minded individuals the arrival of the weekend can only mean one thing. Yep, it’s time to start thinking about putting on an acca.

And we’re not alone. We’ve got the Ladbrokes Life gang involved too as part of a pretty cool celebration we’re calling #AccaSaturday.

The Professor, The Gut Truster, The Believer, Mr. Brightside and Generous John each came up with five stellar selections in the hope of beating the bookies and claiming all-important bragging rights.

And the good news is that even if one team let them down we’ve got them covered with our incredible 5+ Team Acca Money Back offer.*

Unfortunately the bookies came out on top in four of the bets but Generous John got his money back after landing four out of five!

It’s simple. If you get five out of five you win. And if only four teams do the business you get another go on us!

Let’s see how they got on…

The Professor

Arsenal and Middlesbrough both ran out comfortable winners and it looked like I might be on to a winner. Gillingham’s late winner preserved their unbeaten record and it was all going so smoothly south of the border.

But it was heartbreak up in Scotland.

Despite 55 per cent of the possession and 12 shots on goal, Queen of the South couldn’t find a breakthrough away at Raith who eventually nicked it with their first shot on target.

Over in France it was a similar story as Lyon and Lille played out a 0-0 draw.

The Gut Truster

I think it’s fair to say Norwich gave Bournemouth a much-needed reality check after smashing the Cherries 3-1. I thought they might have too much at home and they did.

City came good in the end against a resilient Palace did the business against Wednesday. Unfortunately their neighbours Sheffield United came unstuck against Bury who now have three wins in a row. Fair play to them.

Orient stay top of League One but could only muster a 1-1 draw against Cambridge.

The Believer

This dreamy 110/1 shot turned out to be a bit of a nightmare after Chelsea got turned over in the early kick-off. Four points from five games is relegation form from the Blues so I’ll be having a few quid on that.

Anyway, I had a chance of getting my money back if the later games all went in.

It wasn’t to be. City’s late winner at Palace and Watford’s first win of the season ensured that.

Mr Brightside

It’s fair to say my bet didn’t go too well today. The Swansea loss and Charlton draw meant I was down before the late kick-off.

I’ll still be throwing some shapes tonight and there’s always next week!

It would’ve been nice if Southampton had managed to grab a win then I’d be in business for the Barca game.

Luckily for me, the Catalans grabbed a victory and I can reinvest tomorrow.

The beers are on me!
