This weekend sees the return of not only the Premier League but also one of the top flight’s biggest rivalries as Manchester United take on Liverpool at Old Trafford.

Wayne Rooney has promised to take the confidence gained from breaking the England scoring record during the international break onto the pitch and put United’s bitter enemies to the sword.

On the other side, Christian Benteke will be looking to justify his £32m price tag and become a Liverpool hero by firing his side to victory.

While both men appear most likely to score for their respective sides, however, they have some tough acts to follow when it comes to goals from yesteryear.
