Swedish outsiders picked in 16/1 Champions League acca attempt

Winning accumulators with Ladbrokes just got easier. The bookmaker is offering to refund five-or-more folds if they lose by just one leg for a limited time.

All the legal mumbo-jumbo can be found at this link, but with its generous premise in mind, Ladbrokes News have attempted to string a lucrative multiple together for Wednesday night’s Champions League schedule.

It pays just under 16/1:

Malmo to beat Shakthar Donetsk @ 16/5

The Swedes could just be a little too long as they prepare to battle the Miners for third spot in Group A.

Both teams are pointless having played a game each against Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, but it was Malmo that conceded less – shipping four to Shakthar’s seven.

They boast exemplary home form – they’ve lost only once there this term – and a sturdy defence that averages just a single goal against per game at the Swedbank Stadion.

Shakthar, meanwhile, have won just twice in nine trips in the Champions League.

Atletico Madrid to beat FK Astana @ 1/8

Atletico suffered a surprise defeat at home to Benfica last time out, while Astana earned a shocking draw at home to Galatasaray.

However, the two goals the Portuguese scored in that win were just the third and fourth Diego Simeone’s side have conceded at the Estadio Vicente Calderon in Europe in the last 12 games. Before the Benfica loss, they had won nine of that 12.

Juventus to beat Borussia Monchengladbach @ 2/5

Gladbach have a 100 percent record in the Bundesliga since Lucien Favre left the dugout to Andre Schubert, but both men have lost a game each in the Champions League.

Juventus are still striving for their best Serie A form having won just two of their opening nine games, but are perfect in Europe and have only lost once at home in the last two years in Uefa’s top competition.

Manchester City to beat Seville @ 4/6

Injuries may mean Manuel Pellegrini is less able to rotate his starting XI than he would like ahead of the weekend’s Manchester derby, but that’s good news for bettors.

Their Champions League form at the Etihad isn’t pretty (one win in six), but looks far better up against Sevilla’s record on the road in the tournament, which stretches to four winless trips.

Not only have they only scored once in that chain, but they’ve only doubled that tally in a winless start away from home in the league this term.

Wolfsburg to beat PSV @ 8/13

The Dutchmen followed up their uplifting victory over Manchester United with a grounding 3-2 loss to CSKA Moscow last time out.

Against a Wolfsburg unit that generally keep things tight on their own patch – they shut out CSKA and are conceding less than a goal a game on average in the Bundesliga – PSV will struggle to overturn the odds.
