Poll: Does Man On The Moon top the John Lewis Christmas ads?

Published:

Just like the first showing of that famous Coca Cola lorry, John Lewis’ Christmas advert means we can really start counting down the days until we tuck into that turkey.

The retailer’s latest offering hit the screens this morning and it’s everything you’d expect from their seasonal campaign.

The soundtrack to the advert, named ‘Man on the Moon’, has certainly been given the thumbs up already.

Two of the last three soundtracks to their promotional piece have topped the charts on release, but could this year’s tune even land that fabled Christmas number one spot?

Norwegian singer Aurora’s cover of Oasis’ ‘Half the World Away’ has already been cut from 16/1 into 10/1, before even more support saw it go as short as 5/1 to top the charts when we open up our stockings on the big day.

But how does the advert itself stack up? Monty the penguin in 2014 was a tough ask to follow but have John Lewis pulled it off?

Take a look at their last five Christmas adverts and tell us which one you think tops the lot.

2015 – Man on the Moon

2014 – Monty’s Christmas

2013 – The Bear and the Hare

2012 – The Journey

2011 – The Long Wait
