Arsenal fans are divided in their opinion on how far the Gunners can go in Europe this season.

Ahead of a must-win tie with Dinamo Zagreb tonight Ladbrokes News asked readers to vote on how far Arsene Wenger’s men will go in Europe this year – progression to the Champions League knockout stage, dropping into the Europa League or falling out of Europe all together – and just 50 per cent of voters said the Emirates outfit have what it takes to turn things around in the continent’s top competition.

Arsenal’s poor start means they need to beat Zagreb, hope Olympiakos lose to Bayern Munich and then travel to Greece and win convincingly to stand a chance of going through.

This explains why 25 per cent of voters said that it will be a drop into the Europa League, where they could meet north London rivals Tottenham, that Arsenal can look forward to.

However, even the ignominy of falling into the continent’s second-string tournament isn’t assured as a draw at Ashburton Grove would also see them needing to better Zagreb’s result in the final group game to even make the Europa League.

As such 25 per cent of voters believe the Gunners will walk away from Europe with their tails between their legs and focus solely on domestic dealings this season.

And after the 2-1 defeat to West Brom at the weekend saw their title odds drift slightly to 7/4 Gooners might not think that’s such a bad thing.
