Crystal Palace v Chelsea: Eagles to leave visitors feeling blue

The ship has steadied somewhat at Stamford Bridge but the seas ahead are still far from calm.
Crystal Palace are unbeaten in five games and in Alan Pardew they have a manager who has been a thorn in the Blues’ side of late.
The Eagles gaffer has been victorious in five of his last eight meetings with the champions and taken all three points on the last three occasions when he has faced the Blues as the home manager.
Chelsea may have won nine and lost just two of the 13 Premier League meetings between these two but on current form it is the hosts that should be sided with.
However, with the Eagles drawing a blank in their last two games against Swansea and Bournemouth and Chelsea goalless against Manchester United last time out a high scoring encounter is not expected.
The last five Premier League meetings between these two have been settled by a single goal and with nine of the last 11 producing under 3.5 goals if we’re to see another hard fought win then the nod goes to Palace. .
With this in mind the 1-0 and 2-1 Palace wins could be the way to go at odds of 17/2 and 12/1 respectively.
With the game being televised live on Sky Sports Ladbrokes will also double the odds on any winning first goal scorer selection if the first goal is netted inside 25 minutes.*
With Yohan Cabaye obliging in this market three times this season – more than any other Palace player – but ruled out through injury Chelsea will fancy their chances of striking first.
Diego Costa has also scored first on three occasions and if returning to the starting line-up cannot be ignored at 9/2.
Despite the form book pointing to a home win this is still Chelsea we’re talking about and with Ladbrokes boosting Chelsea to win and both teams to score from 10/3 to 4/1 backing the Blues could leave punters feeling anything but!
