Don’t expect stalemate repeat between Liverpool and Arsenal

| 13.01.2016

Liverpool versus Arsenal is usually one of the Premier League highlights of the season and the latest contest tonight at Anfield has all the ingredients to be another corker.

The table-topping Gunners can go five points clear if they see off Jurgen Klopp’s side and Leicester and Man City both lose.

The Merseysiders meanwhile have lost just one of their last five games in league and cup, but are enduring a hectic and demanding run of eight fixtures in January.

Arsene Wenger’s men are 6/4 favourites to claim three points, something which they have achieved three times in their last six visits to Liverpool’s famous ground.

Liverpool are slight outsiders at 7/4, while a draw between the sides – as occurred back in August – is 23/10.

The north Londoners are in decent nick ahead of the tie, winning seven of their last eight contests in all competitions – the one blip coming at the hands of a rampant Southampton side.

Klopp’s side have won three of their last five games, but were held to a 2-2 draw by Exeter on Friday night and have suffered a host of injuries in recent weeks.

Undeterred however, Ladbrokes are going all out for the contest tonight, and are offering new customers 7/1 on Liverpool to win or 6/1 on an Arsenal victory at Anfield.*

The pair shared a 0-0 stalemate at the Emirates, but historically this is a fixture with plenty of goals, and with that in mind Ladbrokes are feeling generous about another goalfest this evening.

The Bookies are boosting Liverpool to win and both teams to score from 4/1 to 9/2.

That’s not all. To help beat those to winter blues, Ladbrokes are also boosting Arsenal to win and both teams to score from 10/3 to 4/1.

Prior to August’s 0-0, the last four meetings between the sides in both cup and league had seen both sides find the net.

And if you needed more reasons to get on these offers, Arsenal have scored in each of their last 12 visits to Anfield, a run stretching back nine years.

This historic fixture is of course in front of the TV cameras and tonight BT Sport will be in full force.

That means that you can enjoy Ladbrokes’ Double Odds offer. Simply back a player to score first and if that player grabs the opening goal of the game inside the first 25 minutes, you’ll be paid out at double the odds!

Olivier Giroud re-discovered his goalscoring boots for Arsenal at the weekend, and at 5/1, you’ll be paid out at 10s should the Frenchman net the opening goal inside the first 25 minutes in this classic Premier League encounter.
