Fans divided but most think top bosses should go if Leicester win

Published:

Football fans are divided in their opinion on what a potential Leicester City Premier League triumph should mean for the top flight’s big bosses but the majority feel they should fall on their sword.

After controversial journalist Adrian Durham said a Foxes title triumph should see Louis van Gaal, Manuel Pellegrini and Arsene Wenger abandon their posts in shame we asked you, the Ladbrokes News readers, to have your say.

It was a close run thing but with 51 per cent of voters saying the Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal bosses should call it a day, the Daily Mail columnist and talkSPORT presenter is clearly on to something.

Of course 49 per cent feel the trio, or some of them at least, should keep their jobs, so there is an argument to suggest Durham is clutching at straws.

However, if Claudio Ranieri can lead his team of bargain buys to the title at the expense of these so-called top tier managers and their megabucks squads some might start to call their quality into question.

A Leicester win would be welcomed almost universally by neutral fans across the land but while it would be a shot in the arm for the Premier League it could prove a lethal injection for Messrs Van Gaal, Pellegrini and Wenger.
