It’s official – Manchester United are England’s most boring side

Manchester United are officially the dullest football team in the entire country, according to a recent poll.

In the wake of a lacklustre 1-0 FA Cup win over League One Sheffield United former Red Devils star Paul Scholes bemoaned that the current crop of players and even manager Louis van Gaal looked bored as they dragged their heels to victory over the Blades.

Even Van Gaal, who has been on the defensive in recent media outings, admitted that at times his side have bored him this season.

And so Ladbrokes News asked readers to vote in a simple yes or no poll asking if United are now the dullest team in English football and with an overwhelming 78 per cent the resounding answer was yes.

Only those who slept through their maths GCSE will need pointing out that 22 per cent disagreed and claimed United are in fact not the country’s most sleep-inducing side but this Red Devils fan might just disagree.

Van Gaal will get a chance to prove the doubters wrong when he takes his side to St James’ Park to take on a Newcastle side languishing in 18th place.

With the visitors priced at 4/5 to claim all three points it seems a win is the minimum expected from LVG’s men so an emphatic, high-scoring victory is a must if the boo boys are to be quietened.
