Theo Walcott’s Arsenal career has been a massive flop

Theo Walcott’s decade-long career at Arsenal has been judged a massive flop, so say the voters at Ladbrokes News.

With the England international this week celebrating 10 years since signing for the Gunners, we wanted to know how you felt Walcott’s time at the Emirates had been.

The pacey frontman has enjoyed some very high highs, and some major lows – largely due to injury – but has still racked up over 300 appearances and 80 goals.

But when Walcott arrived at Arsenal in 2006, Arsene Wenger’s men had finished first or second in the Premier League in each of the preceding eight seasons – claiming three league titles.

Since then however, Arsenal have failed to finish higher than third, and have won just two FA Cups.

So with all the hype surrounding Walcott’s move from Southampton 10 long years ago, we asked you today if his Arsenal career has been a big hit, or a massive flop?

And while it was a close call, it appears the move has failed to deliver with 52 per cent of you saying Walcott has been a massive flop in north London.

That left 48 per cent of you who said the partnership has been a success.

Theo is still only 26 however, so there is plenty of time yet for him to stamp his mark at Arsenal.
