Premier League new logo waste of time and money, according to fans

Published:

The Premier League have wasted time and money in revamping their logo, according to the latest Ladbrokes poll.

The division’s marketing team recently revealed that once Barclays’ sponsorship of the top flight ceases they will not be replaced but instead the league will be known simply as “Premier League” and that all branding will be accompanied by a shiny new logo displayed on several different neon backgrounds.

However, after asking fans to have their say on Twitter a whopping 72 per cent said they think the league should stick with the current tried and tested badge.

Many people felt the new design was “cheap”, “tacky” and reminiscent of a lower league branding.

Other questioned how the new colours will look when displayed on the arms of top flight teams’ shirts, with some saying they will look “ridiculous”.

The condemnation was not universal, however, with 28 per cent saying the liked the news design.

Like it or not the badges are here to stay to the majority will just have to learn to love the new branding, or failing that they could adopt a Scottish team and shun the Premier League in favour of some Ladbrokes premiership action!
