David Moyes the man to make Villa great again, according to poll

David Moyes is the man for the job when it comes to rebuilding Aston Villa’s damaged reputation.

That is according to the latest Ladbrokes poll, which asked Twitter followers to have their say on who should get the nod now the Villans have departed with their second boss this season.

Using the market leaders as options we asked you to vote for David Moyes, Nigel Pearson or Sean Dyche or ‘other’ of you thought there was someone else better suited to take over at Villa Park.

And with a whopping 44 per cent of the votes it’s clear Moyes’ personal reputation hasn’t been too damaged by underwhelming stints at Manchester United and Real Soceidad, with more people wanting him to replace Remi Garde than any other boss.

Former Leicester manager Pearson, who oversaw a miraculous escape from the clutches of relegation last season to set the foundation for what could prove an historic title win for the Foxes, was the clear second favourite with 34 per cent.

This left Dyche, who has done an admirable job with Burnley this season and certainly boasts more recent Championship experience than Moyes, bringing up the rear with just 12 per cent.

The remaining 10 per cent think the solution lies elsewhere, but with names like Boris Johnson and Stan Collymore being mentioned it seems some Villa fans have lost all perspective.
