Poll: Liverpool poised to win first Euro clash with Man United

Liverpool meet Manchester United for the first time ever in European competition tonight and it is the home side that will come out on top.
That is according to the latest Ladbrokes poll, which asked the bookmakers’ Twitter following who will win this ”mother of all football matches” and while it was close for much of the day the Anfield side eventually won out with 59 per cent.
This means just 41 per cent of those who voted believe Louis van Gaal has what it takes to guide his Red Devils side to a record –breaking fifth successive win over the club’s bitter rivals.

This sentiment is backed up y the betting which puts the hosts up as 23/20 favourites to win the first leg, while United are 14/5 for victory and the draw can be backed at 9/4.
