Celebrity Big Brother: Where the money has gone so far

Published:

Former Eastenders actor Ricky Norwood has already seen his odds cut from 10/1 to 5s after just one night in the Big Brother house.

After entering the house on Thursday night, Fatboy is now hot on the heels of 3/1 favourite Christopher Biggins with money pouring in for the actor.

And while some may have believed that Ricky would struggle to win the audience round following his dismissal from the BBC soap late last year, it seems fans of BB have warmed to the lad from London.

Elsewhere, star of Geordie Shore Marnie Simpson remains second favourite to win the show at 9/2, and if she does, she’ll be the third person from the MTV show to take the crown.

While Ricky is the most backed housemate so far, we can reveal that American singer-songwriter Aubrey O’Day is the least popular in the house amongst punters, having had just 24 bets placed on her to win this series.

And it seems unlikely that any of the American housemates will steal the crown as just 9 per cent of the bets have been placed on the three stars from across the pond.

Ricky has received the most bets overall by some distance. However a whopping 33 per cent of stakes so far have gone on the three housemates from British reality TV shows Geordie Shore, TOWIE and Ex on the Beach.

It seems that this will be the closest series for some time, but that could all change should bets for Ricky continue to flood in.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Biggins might be the favourite but if the support continues it won’t be long before one Fatboy takes over another as the front runner for CBB glory.”
