Twitter doesn’t think Kante will set Stamford Bridge alive

| 12.07.2016

As transfer rumours continue to spread like wildfire around the country, the latest story to hit the headlines is surrounding Leicester City fan favourite N’Golo Kante.

The energetic midfielder has been linked with a move away from last season’s title winners, with Arsenal and PSG reportedly showing an interest.

But Chelsea have thrown their name into the mix in the last few days as new manager Antonio Conte continues to build his squad.

However, should a move for the French star materialise, our Twitter followers don’t think Kante would have as big an impact on the Chelsea team as Frank Lampard did.

In fact, you decided its likely Kante’s Chelsea career would be similar to Scott Parker’s, with the former Charlton Athletic man receiving 67 per cent of the online vote.

Parker made just 15 appearances in the league for Chelsea following his £10m move from the Addicks, and was subsequently sold to Newcastle United after two disappointing years at the club.

As well as winning the Premier League title, Leicester’s talismanic holding midfielder was included in the PFA Team of the Year as a result of making 175 tackles and 156 interceptions while covering every blade of grass in England.

It would be a shame for the Euro 2016 runner-up to leave the King Power Stadium without representing the Foxes in Europe – but in the modern game, money talks.

Will Kante sacrifice Champions League football for Stamford Bridge?
