Who goes? The housemates decide as Big Brother shocks continue

Published:

In one of the most action-packed weeks of Big Brother to date, we’ve seen a housemate handed immunity, a fan-favourite grab himself a cool £20,000 of the prize fund and a front-runner for the crown evicted under shocking circumstances.

Big Brother announced earlier on in the week that housemates would be in control of their own fate – as no public votes were taking place for eviction.

The house decided unanimously to send Chelsea Singh packing on Monday night in the first shock of Annihilation Week.

Wednesday night’s episode provided perhaps the biggest shock of the series when housemates were forced to choose once again who should stay and who should go.

Housemates were told that £20,000 of the prize fund was up for grabs for anyone to take for themselves – but as is always the case with BB – there was a twist.

That twist was that the person who chose to take the money would in turn have to evict a fellow housemate from the process.

And it was Jason who took the bait, opting to send home the at-the-time-favourite for the crown Lateysha.

Following the biggest eviction in recent series of the show, the outright market has been smashed wide open.

While Hughie is now the favourite to win, he’s followed closely behind by Jackson and Jason. Fans of the show clearly empathise with the latter given the problems he’s faced during his time in the house.

Though Jayne, Evelyn, Ryan, Laura and Sam are considered to have little to no chance of winning the show as we approach the final few weeks, this series has proved anything can happen.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Lateysha’s eviction has sent eruptions through the betting and for the time being at least it’s allowed Hughie to surge ahead of his rivals, however anyone could win it at this stage.”
