Hazard will be Chelsea’s main man under Conte this season

It was one of last season’s biggest mysteries – just what the hell happened to Eden Hazard?! Having scooped the 2014-15 PFA Player of the Year award the Belgian disappeared off a cliff but according to you lot he’s going to be back with a bang this term.

At least, that’s what our latest Twitter poll has indicated with 58 per cent of voters backing the classy midfielder to be Chelsea’s main man in 2016-17.

Hazard’s stunning equaliser in the Blues’ dramatic 2-2 draw with Tottenham at the back end of the previous campaign hinted at something of an upturn in fortunes in a season where he managed to notch just four Premier League goals.

And with the 25-year-old impressing in pre-season the signs are there that he could be a rejuvenated force under new boss Antonio Conte.

Moving on, and it was recent signing N’Golo Kante who took the runners-up spot with 23 per cent believing that he could prove to be the difference in the Chelsea engine room.

The £30m capture from champions Leicester will certainly have an important role to play but unfortunately for him his dog work was not deemed enough to make him our winner.

Meanwhile, Willian took the bronze with 13 per cent throwing their weight behind the Brazilian and there were few shouts for ‘Other’ although Riyad Mahrez did get a cheeky mention.

Does someone know something we don’t?
