Let’s kick off the season by winning a 55/1 accumulator, shall we?
If you follow me on Twitter you’ll know that I regularly won singles, doubles and the occasional treble on the Premier League last season, but this time around Ladbrokes are offering a promotion that makes a weekly fivefold look far too tempting to ignore.

With that in mind, here are five bets from the Premier League and the Championship which I think you have to be on this weekend…
The Premier League champions start their title defence with a trip to newly promoted Hull, and I can only see it going one way. Leicester have sold one of their key defensive players in N’Golo Kante so they may not be as solid as last season.
They should, however, have the same attacking prowess and then some due to the additions of Ahmed Musa, who has already bagged a brace against Barcelona, and Polish Euro 2016 sensation Bartosz Kapustka. Hull are without several key players, so I can see Leicester scoring a few here.
They have new management and a whole host of new players, but I still fancy Southampton to do well this season. The Saints were a formidable force in the league at home last season, winning eight of their 10 matches after Christmas.
Watford’s away form paints the exact opposite picture, with eight losses in their 10 Premier League away games this calendar year. 4/5 looks a fantastic bet based on those stats.
Swansea’s away form in the Premier League doesn’t usually read too well if you’re only looking at results, but they almost always manage to bag a goal or two. Against newly promoted Burnley I think
they’ll continue that trend, and they might just do enough to win it.
The price is a fantastic 21/10 and with the insurance of Ladbrokes’ money back offer, I’m willing to take a chance here.
Newly promoted sides usually look like an appealing first game for seasoned Premier League teams, but I’m not sure many would have picked a trip to Middlesbrough on the opening day.
They boasted the best defensive record in the Championship last season, the crowd will be absolutely boomingand they’ve brought in players who, at some point in their respective careers, were considered top class.
I think Boro will set up defensively, concede one goal at the most and aim to hit Stoke on the counter with little avail. This one has got 0-0 or 1-1 written all over it for me.
The dismal loss to an average Fulham side may put a lot of you off backing Newcastle today, but not me. The 4/6 about the home win is a very generous price for a team who, on paper, should absolutely crush the Championship this season.
Early jitters are out of the way for Rafa Benitez now and I expect the Magpies to show everyone what a force they are.
