Fans say Man United should take the Europa League seriously

Manchester United should go all out to win the Europa League this season, rather than use the competition as a chance to try out young talent.

That’s the view of voters on today’s @Ladbrokes Twitter poll, as the Red Devils head to Rotterdam to take on Feyenoord tonight.

United boss Jose Mourinho has left skipper Wayne Rooney at home, alongside Luke Shaw, Antonio Valencia and Jesse Lingard, leaving some to question how seriously the Special One is taking the tournament.

But if he listens to today’s poll, the ex-Chelsea manager should go all out to land United a European trophy, with 65 per cent saying United should try and win it.

That left 35 per cent of you to say the Old Trafford club should play youngsters, perhaps suggesting that a title tilt or guaranteeing a top-four spot are more pressing priorities.

Still, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the side, plus world-record signing Paul Pogba, Jose can’t be accused of totally neglecting this evening’s game.

United are 10/11 favourites for only the third ever clash between the two teams, with the hosts 10/3 to win at De Kuip.

Zlatan is 7/2 to score first, and the Swede is 6/5 to net a sixth goal in as many appearances for his new club at any time tonight.

Ahead of the game, we’re enhancing Manchester United to win and both teams to score from 5/2 to 3/1.
