Swansea latest: Giggs drifts, Pardew and Coleman in the frame

Published:

Ryan Giggs, Alan Pardew and Chris Coleman are battling it out to become the next Swansea City manager, according to the latest odds.

The Welsh wizard has drifted overnight from 4/6 favourite to 5/2, with Pardew going from 16s into the same price.

And Wales boss Chris Coleman’s odds for a hometown return have tumbled from 8/1 into 3s.

The club parted company with Bob Bradley after just 85 days and 11 games with the American at the helm.

Elsewhere, former Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett is a 5/1 shot for a first go at Premier League management, having been 20s last night.

Roy Hodgson is 6/1, while ex-Swans gaffers Roberto Martinez and Garry Monk are each available at 16/1.

A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “Giggs seemed a shoo-in for the Swansea gig last night but the latest odds suggest he’s got a fight on his hands with Alan Pardew and Swansea’s own Chris Coleman his tough competition.”

Chairman Huw Jenkins has a few days to make a decision, with the Swans not in action until Saturday when they host Bournemouth.

The Welsh outfit may boast more Premier League experience than Eddie Howe’s men, but their respective fortunes this season has seen the bookies install the Cherries at 6/4, with Swansea 9/5 outsiders.
