CBB Launch Reaction: Calum clear favourite, Bianca biggest mover

The current batch of celebrities in the Big Brother house haven’t even been there for 24 hours, but there’s already one man who’s running away from the competition at the head of the market.

Calum Best entered the house last night as 6/1 favourite to win the show, and his odds have since been slashed in half following a surge of bets on the 35-year-old overnight.

He’s already received almost double the amount of bets as any other housemate, and it’s only him, Speidi and Austin Armacost that are single-figure odds as things stand.

There’s a trend developing here, too. Those three names have all appeared on the show in previous series, meaning the familiar faces have struck a chord with punters and – most likely – voters alike.

The biggest mover thus far though is Bianca Gascoigne. She entered the house as a rank outsider at 25/1, but has seen her odds of winning slashed to just 14s.

Meanwhile, it’s bad news for Jasmine Waltz. Despite appearing on the show once before in 2014, our traders don’t reckon she’ll cause much of a threat to the frontrunners and have already made her 50/1 to go all the way. That’s a huge fall considering she was as short as 16s before entering the house.

Stacy Francis is the least backed celeb currently in the house, while Coleen Nolan is the most backed female. The latter is considered to have an outside chance of winning, with traders pricing the Loose Women star up at 14/1.

Stacy, on the other hand is less likely of going all the way, with 25/1 on offer for her to cause an almighty upset.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Calum’s put his best foot forward so far inside the house, and punters are already convinced he’s the one to beat this year.”
