Kane and Zlatan 5/2 favourites for Premier League golden boot

Harry Kane and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are the joint-favourites for this season’s Premier League golden boot.

Following the weekend’s action, Kane’s hat-trick against West Brom lifted the Tottenham ace onto 13 for the campaign.

And Zlatan’s equaliser against Liverpool put the Manchester United number nine onto 14.

The pair are each 5/2 to the season’s top scorer, just ahead of 14-goal Diego Costa at 10/3.

The Spaniard is level at the top on 14 with Zlatan, but it remains to be seen what the full repercussions are following his fallout with Chelsea last week.

Sergio Aguero’s four-game ban hindered his chances, and a lacklustre showing in the 4-0 drubbing at Everton has left the Argentine ace three goals off the pace.

But at 4/1, the Man City star is still ahead of Alexis Sanchez, despite the Arsenal forward matching Costa and Zlatan with 14.

At 5/1, the bookies are seemingly expecting the Chilean to slip away from the battle in the coming months.

And if you’re looking for an each-way punt, Jermain Defoe and Romelu Lukaku are the men to back.

With both strikers scoring such a high percentage of goals for Sunderland and Everton respectively, it’s likely they’ll continue to be among the goals this season.

The pair are each on 12 for the campaign so far, with Lukaku priced up at 14/1, and Defoe at 20/1.
