Man United and Chelsea joined by Juventus in race for ‘new Roberto Baggio’

Italian giants Juventus have become the latest side to be linked with Fiorentina superstar Federico Bernardeschi, and they could muscle in on both Manchester United and Chelsea.

Both Premier League outfits have been tipped to make a move for the 23-year-old striker, who has been likened to Serie A legend Roberto Baggio.

But reports today claim that Juve want the forward too.

Bernardeschi has netted 13 times from 33 appearances in all competitions this term, including 10 goals from 23 league games.

But with the striker’s contract running out in 2019, Fiorentina could start coming under pressure this summer to keep their star man.

The Tuscany native came through La Viola’s youth system, but spent a year on loan at Crotone before making his senior debut for the Serie A outfit.

His debut eventually came in September 2014, and Bernardeschi has since gone on to become a focal point of Fiorentina’s plans.

The forward scored twice and set up six assists last term, although four goals from seven games in the Europa League hinted at what was to come.

In addition to his 13 goals this season, Bernardeschi has also set up five other goals for his team-mates.

Valued at £20m by transfermarkt.co.uk, it’s believed any free for the hotshot striker could reach £80m.

There is certainly demand for youthful Italian strikers right now, with Torino’s Andrea Belotti and and Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi also linked with big-money moves this summer.
