He stuck around despite the majority of Europe’s top clubs chasing him, but will Riyad Mahrez stay at Leicester City beyond this summer?

The latest reports suggest the Algerian ace is wanted by both Juventus and Liverpool.

The reigning Premier League champions fought hard to keep hold of Mahrez last summer, after his 17-goal haul attracted plenty of attention.

A new contract was agreed last August and runs until 2020, so any potential suitors will have to spend big.

With a valuation on transfermarkt.co.uk over £25.5m, Leicester are guaranteed to enjoy a mega windfall on a player they signed for just £450k in 2014.

The Foxes will be under pressure to keep hold of Mahrez this summer, with any hope of European football via a league finish all but impossible.

They are still in the Champions League, but unless they win the tournament they’re unlikely to keep hold of their star winger for much longer.

Juventus may be dominating in Italy, but the Old Lady haven’t landed a Champions League success since 1996, and have reached just one final since 2003.

And it’s believed Jurgen Klopp will be looking to welcome a few new faces to Anfield, with Liverpool being caught short this season.

The Reds’ chances may hinge on landing a top-four spot however.

Mahrez may not have hit the heights of last season, but the 26-year-old has posted eight goals and five assists in all competitions.

He’s saved his best form for Europe however, with half of those strikes coming in just seven Champions League outings.
