Odds say Liverpool have found answer to defensive issue in Hull City ace

Hull City have been in fine form since the turn of the year, and have given themselves a genuine chance of maintaining their Premier League status for at least another season.

They’ve picked up some huge points along the way, and it seems nothing can go wrong for the Tigers.

Or so we thought…

Of course, such impressive performances both individually and collectively as a team have attracted the interest of a number of the division’s top sides, and one of those names doing just that is Andy Robertson.

And currently just 5/4 to make Anfield his next port of call, our traders clearly think there could be some truth in all the talk.

The 23-year-old is the subject of a potential £8m summer move to Liverpool, who are in desperate need of a new left-back.

Alberto Moreno is simply too unreliable, and not at the standard required for a side looking to challenge for titles.

And although James Milner has enjoyed a fine season filling in for Klopp on the left hand side of his defence, the 31-year-old is far from a long-term solution.

Robertson, however, might well be.

The former Dundee United man made his senior debut for Scotland just two weeks before his 20th birthday, and has since represented his country on 14 occasions.

But it’s the way he’s settled into life in the top-flight which has impressed people most.

He was part of the Hull side who faced relegation from the Prem two seasons ago, but flourished in the Championship, featuring on 45 occasions, providing two goals and five assists from defence.

And since Hull’s return to the top-flight, he’s come on leaps and bounds, and looks to have secured himself a big money move to Anfield, regardless of whether or not his current club stay in the division.
