Pochettino and Tottenham eye move for Dortmund’s teenage star

The upcoming off-season is a big one for Tottenham. They will leave the White Hart Lane home while looking to sign the players who can finally bring them Premier League glory.

And one of those men could be Christian Pulisic.

Though only 18-years-old, the forward has shone for Borussia Dortmund this season, and has been marked out as a star of the future.

Belying his years, the American international has scored five goals and produced nine assists in all competitions.

And according to the Daily Mail, Spurs sent their chief scout to watch the teenager in BvB’s Champions League clash with Monaco this week.

Dortmund have been careful not to play Pulisic too often this season, and 16 of the forward’s 28 Bundesliga appearances this term have come from the bench.

He made his debut for the German giants 16 months ago, having grown up in the States.

Pulisic is touted as America’s next big hope, and has enjoyed a rapid rise through the international youth thanks across the pond.

And he has become a full international too, making 13 appearances for the Stars and Stripes, scoring four goals and breaking a host of records in the process.

Valued on transfermarkt.co.uk at over £10m, the teenager is contracted to Dortmund until 2020.

Having struggled in the Champions League this season, Pochettino is expected to make several signings this summer in a bid to enhance Tottenham’s squad depth.

Spurs kick off the Premier League’s Easter action this weekend, when they host Bournemouth.
