Brighton transfer odds

Brighton & Hove Albion will be playing Premier League football next season for the first time in the club’s history. And manager Chris Hughton would’ve been excused for allowing celebrations to run into the coming weeks.

But if the latest rumours are to be believed, Hughton is already eyeing up potential summer targets – and his attention has turned immediately to one of the hottest properties in the Championship this season, Tammy Abraham.

Having netted a staggering 23 goals in his first full season as a professional footballer in the second tier of English football, it’s easy to see why Abraham has been attracting interest from a whole host of clubs.

While it’s unlikely Chelsea (his parent club) would be willing to lose him permanently, they’d certainly be keen on loaning him out for another season.

The 19-year-old possesses all the credentials of a top-class striker, but it’s hard to see him breaking into the Blues’ first-team at such a tender age.

With that in mind, a move to top-flight newbies Brighton would benefit all parties.

The Seagulls would boast one of the most exciting talents in English football in their ranks, the player himself would see plenty of game-time at the highest level and Chelsea would be able to keep a close eye on their man.

So will a deal go ahead?

If Abraham is to go anywhere, it’s likely Brighton would be his next port of call. But what do fans think?

Is the youngster the kind of player Albion should be looking at as they attempt to establish themselves as a Premier League outfit, or do you think there’s someone else Hughton should be looking at?
